In Amsterdam 80,000 people are very lonely. Volunteers from De Regenboog Groep make contact and thus break through the loneliness. We don't care what the cause of this loneliness is: poverty, addiction, homelessness, mental health problems or being displaced. We also organize activities so that vulnerable city residents come into contact with previously unknown others.

Lise's experience

I work at a bank where I spend a lot of time at a computer. I missed human connection. That's why I became Franka's buddy. She really lives in a very different world from me. I visit her weekly. We went to the community center together a number of times, where she met other residents. She has found a place where she dares to go independently. Franka has really gotten stronger.

That's how we do it!

Below we describe the ways in which we offer the help mentioned above.

What can you do?

Become a donor! Your money will be well spent on care for homeless people, aid for (former) addicts and people living in poverty or social isolation.
