Safety net and springboard
The walk-in centres of De Regenboog Groep are a safety net for homeless people. For a short while, they find peace in their often hectic existence. They can come for a healthy meal, a shower and change clothes. For some, the walk-in centre is also a springboard to more self-management. Social work and daytime activities help with this. Many visitors help to keep the walk-in centre house running.
Pascal's experience
I don't have an alarm clock. Every morning I am woken up by the birds. Around 10 a.m. I get up and walk to the supermarket for a cup of coffee. The walk-in house opens in the afternoon. There I shower and lunch. Then I go to the park to chill and have a beer. My life has been tough enough, and I can't take all those helpers. I can't do anything else.
