Princehof (Walk-in centre, shooting room and clothes collection point)

Princehof - clothes collection point

De Princehof is located in the heart of Amsterdam's red-light district. The walk-in centre, on the ground floor, is open six days a week. There is a shooting room on the top floor for people who take drugs. The most unique feature of De Princehof is the needles exchange, which was set up 25 years ago and which is open to all addicts, not just Princehof visitors. Although nowadays visitors in Amsterdam almost always have a roof above their heads, it does not mean that their problems are solved. Here, they can talk to supervisors and fellow-addicts. The community-care workers from the Municipal Health Service are often on hand too.

What can you do?

We need your help, become a volunteer! You can help by investing your time and energy, by working with citizens of Amsterdam with unusual stories. Or become a donor! Your money will be well spent on care for homeless people, aid for (former) addicts and people living in poverty or social isolation. You are always welcome to drop by and see how your money is spent. Or why not buy one of the products from our online Gift Shop? A present for someone you know, perhaps. It's all contributing towards a better society. And that's great, isn't it?
