Gifting or Bequeathing

People who are homeless or without a place to stay. People with mental health issues. People in debt. People struggling with addiction. People who are lonely. Refugees. People in distress. People can find themselves in difficult situations for any number of reasons. Often, it’s a combination of problems. We help them and offer opportunities. You can support us financially by making a donation or leaving a bequest to De Regenboog Groep.

ONE-TIME OR RECURRING DONATIONS

Contribute in a way that works for you.

Donate once

Make a one-time donation. For example, your 13th-month bonus, your wedding gift, or a portion of your lottery winnings.

Stay connected longer

Make a monthly donation and provide ongoing support to De Regenboog.

SPECIAL WAYS TO DONATE

Two other ways to donate.

To leave something behind

Should you name De Regenboog Groep as your beneficiary or include a bequest in your will? We’d be happy to discuss the options with you in person.

Giving with Tax Benefits

If you set up your donation as a recurring contribution for at least five years, you can claim a tax deduction for your gift. You will then receive a portion of the donated amount back from the tax authorities.

Why donate to De Regenboog Groep?

  • For the more than 5,000 homeless people we take in each year at our walk-in centres. To provide for their basic needs. Think of a healthy meal, a warm shower, clean clothes, and whatever else we can do to help them endure the hardships of life on the street and give them a chance to get back on their feet.
  • To welcome refugees and help them feel at home and build a new life.
  • To provide professional guidance to our 1,500 volunteers who meet with people who can’t manage on their own or who are lonely.
  • To provide an (affordable) outing for people who haven’t been able to afford one for years.

Acute Emergency

And very importantly: we rely entirely on donations to respond quickly to urgent crises. Like when there was a sudden, massive increase in the number of economically homeless people. Almost immediately, we were able to launch the Onder de Pannen project—that was back in 2016. Or when it became clear that LGBTIQ+ status holders with mental health issues and trauma were in desperate need of help. In no time at all, we had set up a specialized and professional mentoring program. And all of this was made possible by donations from individuals, foundations, and churches.

Time and again, we identify new vulnerable groups that fall through the cracks—groups for whom you can’t immediately secure a grant. For them, and for a more socially inclusive city, we roll up our sleeves.
