Internship at De Regenboog
Internships for MBO and HBO students
.In a city like Amsterdam you will naturally find people with psychosocial problems. The city also attracts vulnerable people from outside the Randstad and from outside the Netherlands. De Regenboog supports them, helping them get a grip on their own lives (again). That makes Amsterdam and De Regenboog Groep good places to experience in practice what you learned in theory at your training.

MBO internship
Are you doing an MBO education at level 4 of a social work program. Then you can go to one of the walk-in centres or work routes. You will find more information about walk-in centres and work routes on this website. You can apply for an MBO traineeship at stage@deregenboog.org or with the form below.
.HBO internship
If you are doing a 2nd year study of a social HBO education (such as Social Work or Pedagogy) and are looking for an internship of 16 hours or less you can work as a buddy in our Informal Care department. You offer help to people from different areas such as financial problems, psychiatry, addiction, youth, status holders, language buddies and much more. If you are interested in a combination internship at both a walk-in centre (target group homelessness and addiction and Informal Care, this is possible. You will do an internship in a walk-in centre one day a week and the other hours of your internship contract you will work at the Informal Care as a buddy.

If you are doing an HBO course in Social Work and Services (MWD) and are in your third year, you can do an internship with De Regenboog's social work department. Internship Contact
According to your number of internship hours and/or your situation, you may be given a volunteer agreement or an internship agreement. During your introductory meeting we will discuss this
If you choose for the combination internship between the walk-in centre and Informal Care, you are entitled to a half-day allowance (7 euros per half-day)
.Minimum duration and fixed days
Internships with Informal Care last at least 10 months. From school you will receive the internship days and we apply them within De Regenboog Groep.
.Entry moments
HBO internships at the IZ always start in February and September. They are for 10 months. At some workplaces you can also enter at other times, for example at the walk-in centres (for MBO internships).
Recognized learning company
De Regenboog has many different SBB recognitions and is therefore an official learning company. Beroeps Begeleide Leerweg (BBL) in which you are employed by De Regenboog, we do not offer.
