Don Bosco Straatvisie, the Amsterdam-based advocacy organization for homeless youth, will become part of De Regenboog Groep effective September 1, 2026.
ACHIEVING MORE TOGETHER
Both organizations are committed to an approach that is closely aligned with the needs of homeless young people. They are dedicated, independent, and maintain a critical perspective. In addition, they both want to see the services available to homeless youth in Amsterdam expanded. The City of Amsterdam shares this goal. The merged organizations will therefore work together in the coming months to develop a plan for a broader range of services for homeless youth.
DON BOSCO STRAATVISIE
Don Bosco Straatvisie offers a place where homeless young people between the ages of 17 and 27 and their loved ones can make their voices heard. Straatvisie organizes accessible activities and gatherings, supports young people in their personal development, and helps them advocate for their own interests. Straatvisie will continue its activities under its current name. Its unique identity, target audience, and approach will remain unchanged.

Due to the limited size of Straatvisie’s team, the organization has felt vulnerable in recent years. That is why Straatvisie sought a partner that could offer support, strengthen continuity, and provide room for growth. It found that partner in De Regenboog Groep.
DE REGENBOOG, AT HOME IN AMSTERDAM
For more than 50 years, De Regenboog has been supporting homeless people in Amsterdam. It does so through, among other things, ten walk-in centers, specialized social work, work experience placements, and buddy programs. For many homeless Amsterdammers, De Regenboog’s services serve as a last resort in times of crisis—or, conversely, as a first step toward taking control of their own lives and recovery.
