Find a water fountain
Install the app on your smartphone, open it, tap “Location,” and select “Drinking Water.” Voilà: your map will immediately fill with faucet icons. There’s always a water fountain near you.

The creators of Streetlife love free amenities, so they’ve picked out two unique drinking water spots for you.
Right near the Damrak, in the Beurspassage, you’ll find this striking fountain shaped like a gaping fish. And in the Vondelpark, there’s a beautiful neo-Gothic drinking fountain. Thanks to all the greenery, it’s already a few degrees cooler in the park than on Dam Square. So it’s an ideal spot on hot days.

Help the homeless in Amsterdam
The Streetlife app lists many locations where people without a home can go for help and support. You may not need this information yourself, but you can make a difference for people who are homeless.
For example, donate to De Regenboog Groep. We’ll make sure that homeless residents not only have access to free drinking water, but also get something to eat with their daily municipal beer.
Because in addition to water, everyone should have a hot meal every day.
