"Op Eigen Kracht" and "Work on Your Future" Training Programs
Living on a tight budget is difficult and can be very stressful. It also raises questions. How do you keep track of your finances, where can you go for help, and what are you entitled to? De Regenboog Groep offers a number of training programs to help with this, such as “Op Eigen Kracht” and “Werken aan je Toekomst.”

"Op Eigen Kracht" Training
In a training program consisting of six to ten sessions covering various topics, participants in the “Op Eigen Kracht” program are given tools to help them address questions about money and financial worries. Participants share tips and experiences and gain greater confidence.
The sessions are led by an experienced trainer. Guest speakers also come to talk about topics such as healthy eating, energy conservation, and coping with stress. The Op Eigen Kracht training takes place at various locations in Amsterdam. There is a training program like this in every city district.
Jona: “I learned a lot from the training—about saving money and about perks like the city pass. I actually feel really rich now!”
Sarah: “Before, nobody knew I was short on money. I was always there for everyone and would easily buy things, especially for others. Thanks to the training, I’ve been able to change this behavior.”
"Build Your Future" Training
You can also take the “Work on Your Future” training course. Over the course of four sessions, you’ll work with other participants to set a personal goal and take the first step toward achieving it. The course focuses on communication styles: How do you communicate now, and how can you communicate as effectively as possible to achieve your goals? You can use these skills to your advantage, for example, when speaking with a government agency or a potential employer.
Omar: “Thanks to the training, I’ve now found exactly the volunteer work that suits me.”
Miriam: “I now know how to present myself to agencies and am more assertive.”
Floor: “During the training, I realized that I want to work as an expert by experience. I’m now taking the official training program and feel good about it.”
