During school breaks, we organize fun activities for children and teens at the Ukrainian refugee shelter in IJburg. We’re looking for volunteers who enjoy going out together, getting creative, or just having a good time.
A fun outing offers relaxation for the children and gives parents a little time to themselves.
You’ll supervise a group of approximately 5–6, 8–9, or 13–15-year-olds, together with two other volunteers. You can also sign up as a pair or a group of three.
What are you going to do?
Together with the other volunteers, you’ll come up with and organize activities that are appropriate for the group’s age. For example:
- Cooking or baking together;
- Creative activities;
- Games and other activities at or around the location;
- A field trip to, for example, the library, NEMO, Artis, or another fun place in Oost or Centrum.
Who are we looking for?
- You enjoy working with children and/or teenagers and can easily connect with their world.
- You make sure children feel seen and have a great day.
- You’re creative, enthusiastic, and enjoy coming up with and carrying out activities together with other volunteers.
- You also enjoy helping children and teens explore the city and have new experiences.
What do you get from us?
- You’ll be part of a dedicated and friendly group of volunteers
- You’ll receive guidance from De Regenboog Groep
- Opportunity to take free training courses through the Volunteer Academy
- Reimbursement of expenses
