Please imagine: you have to leave everything behind and start over in a new country. That is the reality for thousands of Ukrainians who lost their homes because of the war. In Amsterdam and Weesp, too, they are looking for safety - and a little something to hold on to.
.You can help. As a buddy you offer exactly that: a friendly face, some support and a bit of sociability. Together you go out, practice the language or help with something practical.
What will you do?
You are paired with a Ukrainian refugee and speak to each other regularly. You will show someone around the city, help with small things like paperwork, and undertake something fun together: a walk, a cup of coffee, a quick trip to the market.
