Would you like to mean something for people from Ukraine who would like to find their place in the Netherlands? Do you feel like having nice conversations, practicing the Dutch language together and sharing culture?
For a group of Ukrainian participants we are looking for a volunteer to accompany them in informal meetings where meeting, practicing language and exchange are central. Many Ukrainians would like to integrate, but there is no suitable course (yet). With this group we offer a low-threshold place to start.
What will you do?
You will guide a group of Ukrainian participants who would like to learn Dutch and learn more about life in the Netherlands.
You will talk about everyday topics.
Together you will discuss everyday topics.
The main goal is to practice the Dutch language. We do this in a relaxed way: no classroom or exams, but talking, listening, laughing and helping each other. You provide a safe and open atmosphere in which everyone can participate, at his or her own level.
.Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who:
- enjoys interacting with people from different backgrounds
- is patient and gives others space to practice Dutch
- is a good listener and has an open attitude
- has affinity with language, culture and meeting (experience is nice, but not a requirement)
You do not have to be a teacher. Just a warm, involved and approachable approach suits this group.
