Want to do fun things with young people in Amsterdam? For our group activities, we’re looking for volunteers who enjoy joining in, contributing ideas, and—above all—hanging out with young people.
The young people are between 17 and 27 years old and are (or have been) experiencing homelessness.
One time we’ll visit a museum; another time we’ll climb a rock wall or take a rap workshop. Together, we decide what we want to do, discover new places, and make time for a good conversation or just a little fun along the way.
We operate on a peer-to-peer basis. Our volunteers and interns are often the same age as the young people. This makes the interaction more equal and accessible. You don’t have to be a social worker.
What are you going to do?
- Brainstorming and organizing activities together
- Joining a workshop, sports activity, or museum visit
- Join the Monday evening drop-in session
- Have a chat, listen, or offer support
- Notice when someone could use a little extra attention or space
Who are we looking for?
- You are between 17 and 30 years old and live in Amsterdam
- You are available for about 4–8 hours per week
- You connect easily with others and are open-minded
- You enjoy doing things together with others
- You’re curious and non-judgmental
What do you get from us?
You’ll become part of a young and dedicated team of volunteers, interns, and coordinators. You’ll receive guidance and have the opportunity to take training courses, and above all, there’s room for you to be yourself, contribute ideas, and get involved in a way that suits you.
