We’re looking for new volunteers at our AMOC West walk-in centre who want to help create a welcoming and accessible space for everyone.
Would you like to help people experiencing homelessness? Here are the opportunities:
✂️ Hairstylist (once a week)
Give people a fresh start with a haircut.
🎨 Arts and crafts facilitator (once every two weeks)
Lead a fun arts & crafts morning or afternoon. We’ll provide the materials; you bring the creativity.
🗣️ Telephone interpreter (on call)
Sometimes we need an interpreter on short notice during intakes. Can you help with phone interpreting and do you have a knack for social work? Then we’re looking for you. We especially need Bulgarian and Romanian, but all European languages are welcome. This is a flexible role that’s easy to combine with other commitments—for example, from home.
What do we offer?
- Free training (including on economic homelessness) through the Volunteer Academy
- Reimbursement for expenses and travel costs
- Professional guidance
