From December 1 to April 1, De Regenboog Groep, together with HVO-Querido and the Salvation Army, offers winter shelter for homeless people. They can go to a location near Museumplein during the cold months for a meal, a hot shower and an overnight stay.
We find it important that the shelter is a safe and cozy place where people feel welcome.
.What will you do?
Nice to have extra hands to prepare and hand out coffee/ tea/ breakfast/ meals/ supplies etc. And of course a chat over coffee with the visitors is also of great value.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for go-getters who can improvise and are strong on their feet.
.Where and when?
The winter shelter is at 78 Pieter de Hoochstraat, in Amsterdam.
.The volunteer shifts are divided as follows:
- morning service 07.30-11.00h .
- afternoon shift 16.00-20.00h
- evening shift 8:00-23:00 p.m.
