.About Villa Buitenlust
Villa Buitenlust is a social enterprise, founded in 2018, with the aim of making the city a little more social. We do this by providing a place for Amsterdam residents who want to regain control of their lives. For example, we offer work experience spots and make rooms available for people who need a time-out.
With the income from the (business) rental of spaces, rooms and workplaces, we invest in programming and maintenance and development of the building. Villa Buitenlust is located at the edge of the Westerpark, 10 min from the Ring and hidden in the green.
What will you do?
Garden Caregiver
- You will be the face of the garden: the garden will be your territory .
- The Villa's green garden always looks beautiful and to maintain that green oasis we are looking for you. It is neither a vegetable garden nor a tightly raked garden. The plants and flowers need to be watered, pruned and weeded.
Garden handyman
- Miscellaneous construction jobs in the garden such as building a pergola, a compost bin and herb containers.
- Cooperate in the garden of the Villa; a green oasis that we maintain organically as much as possible. The plants and flowers there need to be watered, pruned and weeded.
Who are we looking for?
- You have some understanding of gardening and a love of nature.
- You are handy and have experience with (wood) construction and assembly (the garden handyman)
- We work organically as much as possible and you prefer to work from that philosophy too.
- You are not afraid to get dirty and enjoy working outdoors.
- You can work independently as well as in a group.
- You speak at least Dutch and/or English.

- We work with a nice team of volunteers. We organize a pizza meeting once every 2 months in which we brainstorm together on the development and improvement points of the Villa.

Where and when?
At Villa Buitenlust, in the Westerpark. 1 or 2 day parts of 4 hours. Working hours are negotiable.
