When parents get into a divorce or time-out, they often prefer to stay close to their children. But finding affordable housing in Amsterdam or Amstelveen? That's anything but easy.
So there are Parentshouses: temporary, shared housing on IJburg, in Nieuw-West, Zuid and Amstelveen, especially for parents in this vulnerable period. And it is precisely in this period that easily accessible contact with someone from the neighborhood is extremely valuable.
And that is why there are Parentshouses.
As a volunteer you are the warm point of contact for parents in a Parentshouse in your neighborhood. Together with other volunteers you form a committee and contribute to a pleasant, safe living environment.
