In our shelter in Weesp live about 40 children between the ages of 4 and 13. For them there is a special playroom - a nice place to be a child for a while, to play, tinker and unwind. We are looking for volunteers who want to help keep this place open.
.What will you do?
Together with a staff member, you will open the playroom for the children. You play games, do crafts, have a chat and create a safe, relaxed atmosphere. You also help a bit with keeping an overview: who is there, what is happening, and how do we make sure it stays pleasant for everyone?"
.What do you get from us?
- Professional guidance
- Training through the Volunteer Academy (free of charge)
- Expense reimbursement
Who are we looking for?
You enjoy working with children and are patient and committed. You stand firm enough to guide a group of children, but also keep it light-hearted and playful. Experience is nice, but not necessary - your commitment and enthusiasm are most important.
.Where and when?
The playroom is in our shelter location in Weesp. We are now open twice a week:
- Thursday from approximately 16:30 to 18:30 .
- Saturday from 15:00 to 17:00 .
The times may sometimes change slightly. We open only when a minimum of two supervisors are present - and we desperately need your help with that.
