For our "Op Eigen Kracht" training sessions, we're looking for someone who enjoys teaching people about healthy and affordable food.
What is "Op Eigen Kracht"?
"Op Eigen Kracht" is a training program for people who (temporarily) have a bit less disposable income and want more peace of mind and a clearer overview of their finances. The goal of the program is to promote financial self-reliance and boost self-esteem, thereby increasing social participation. The program takes place at accessible locations in various city districts, such as the Huizen van de Wijk.
What are you going to do?
- Provide interactive information sessions on healthy and affordable nutrition during one of the “Op Eigen Kracht” training sessions.
- Refer participants with complex questions to their primary care physician
- Discuss the following 3 topics (based on information from the Netherlands Nutrition Center) during the session:
- What is a healthy diet, and what do you need?
- What are affordable foods?
- How and for how long can you store food?
Who are we looking for?
- Educational background in, for example, nutrition, health sciences, or dietetics
- And/or knowledge and experience in the field of nutrition
- Service-oriented, affinity with the target group, socially engaged
- A sociable, open, and friendly attitude toward participants from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to handle information related to the training and participants confidentially
