In our shelter in Weesp we organize various activities for residents - moments of fun, relaxation and connection. To make this possible we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to give their time and energy.
What can you help with?
☕ Coffee morning women's club - Mondays & Thursdays
During coffee morning, the ladies of the shelter get together to practice Dutch, play games or cook together. A colleague supervises the group.
We are looking for volunteers who:
- speak Dutch
- guiding the morning together with our colleague
- discuss with the ladies and help with the language
- joining in the activities .
🧠 Brain training on the dance floor - Thursday afternoon
An athletic and fun program provided by a volunteer. You can participate in this as a volunteer or support at the coffee time afterwards.
🎲 UNICEF playroom - Thursday evenings & Saturday afternoons
The playroom is a safe place for children to play and learn. Together with a colleague, you will supervise the children.
We are looking for volunteers who:
- speak Dutch
- weekly on Thursday evenings and/or Saturday afternoons
- can commit themselves for a longer period of time (so that the playroom always continues)
🎨 Art Room
We are building a creative place where residents can express themselves through art. Think painting, drawing, photography or an idea of your own.
We are looking for volunteers who:
- want to guide residents in creative activities
- propose their own ideas or join existing plans
When and how often there is an art room depends on the volunteer. This can still be completely set up. Volunteers are free to come up with their own ideas.
What do we ask?
- Enthusiasm, commitment and an open attitude
- Availability at a fixed time (for coffee morning and playroom)
- Dutch language skills (except for the Art Room)
