As a volunteer, you’ll help organize fun and community-building activities in the neighborhood. You can get involved at the Buurtkamer Delflandplein, the De
Rivierenbuurt Community Center, or the De Pijp Community Center.
You’ll help create a safe, relaxed atmosphere where people can meet and have fun. You’ll do this together with other volunteers and the coordinator from De Regenboog Groep.
What are you going to do?
You’ll help out at the Language Café at Buurtkamer Delflandplein (Tuesday afternoons), where you’ll practice spoken Dutch with the participants.
Or you’ll lead the Games Afternoon at Huis van de Wijk De Rivierenbuurt (Wednesday afternoons), featuring board and card games and other group activities. Beforehand, there’s a group lunch with experts by experience.
Or would you rather assist with woodworking activities, such as sawing, carpentry, and painting? These take place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the woodworking shop at Huis van de Wijk De Pijp.
Who are we looking for?
- You are friendly, patient, and enjoy interacting with people of different backgrounds and ages.
- You are not put off by behavior you don’t understand, and you are a good listener who can sense what someone needs.

- You must be available at least one afternoon per week.
What do you get from us?
- Professional guidance from experienced colleagues
- Free training courses through the Volunteer Academy
- Expense reimbursement
- And most importantly: valuable experiences!
