As a volunteer you will contribute to pleasant and connecting activities in the neighborhood. You can work in the Buurtkamer Delflandplein, House of Neighborhood De
Rivierenbuurt or House of the Neighborhood De Pijp.
You provide a safe, relaxed atmosphere where people can meet and have fun. You do this together with other volunteers and the quartermaster of De Regenboog Groep.
What will you do?
You will help out in the Taalcafé in Buurtkamer Delflandplein (Tuesday afternoons), where you will practice the Dutch spoken language together with participants.
Or you accompany the Games Afternoon in Huis van de Wijk De Rivierenbuurt (Wednesday afternoon), with board and card games and other group activities. Beforehand there is a shared lunch with experts by experience.
Or would you prefer to assist with woodworking activities, such as sawing, carpentry and painting? This is on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the woodworking workshop in House of the Neighborhood De Pijp.
Who are we looking for?
- You are friendly, patient and enjoy interacting with people of different backgrounds and ages.
- You do not shy away from misunderstood behavior and can listen well and sense what someone needs.
- Experience is not necessary: enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to ask the quartermaster for help are most important.
- You are available at least one afternoon a week.
What do you get from us?
- Professional guidance from experienced colleagues
- Free training through the Volunteer Academy
- Expense reimbursement
- And most importantly: valuable experiences!
