Would you like to use your own experience to help others? For the Cliënten Informatiepunt (CLIP) we are looking for volunteers who offer a listening ear to Amsterdam residents with mental vulnerability.
.What will you do?
You will help people with questions about mental health, money matters, housing or other difficult situations. You listen, think with them and search together for appropriate information or help. Sometimes you look for information on the Internet. You will work during consultation hours in Amsterdam Oost, Zuidoost or Diemen.
Who are we looking for?
- You have your own experience with, for example, mental vulnerability, addiction, homelessness, debt or loneliness and can put that experience to good use for others.
- You are friendly, curious and can listen well.
- Handiness with the Internet is important.
- Extra languages such as English or Spanish are welcome, but not required
What do you get from us?
- You will join a warm and safe team of volunteers and staff.
- You will learn a lot, gain work experience and get insight into the social map of Amsterdam.
- You will also receive a volunteer allowance and can sometimes attend training sessions.
Where and when?
You will work one half day per week at a location in Oost, Zuidoost or Diemen. On Mondays from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. there is a team meeting (also available online).
