There is a terrible war going on in Ukraine, millions of people have fled the country. Ukrainians are also looking for shelter in Amsterdam. De Regenboog Groep is providing shelter for them in various locations. We are looking for volunteer in our location at the Riekershof in Nieuw-West, 443 residents live here.
What are the tasks?
We are looking for volunteers for the following tasks:
- A volunteer who can translate at doctor's appointments with residents
- A volunteer who wants to look after the children at the shelter and undertake activities
- A volunteer who wants to undertake activities with the elderly at the shelter
What skills are needed?
- You speak Dutch and/or English and also Russian or Ukrainian;
- You are older than 18 years;
- You are available for a few hours a week or every two weeks;
Training
De Regenboog Groep is affiliated with De Vrijwilligersacademie (Volunteer Academy). As a volunteer you have free access to the complete offer of trainings and courses.
Working hours
Once-twice a week depending on your availability.
The shelter is at Johan Jongkindstraat 3 in Amsterdam.
