"De Meeuw is particularly a place for local residents who cannot afford a bakkie in a trendy coffee shop. A place where they can also feel at home outside their own walls. Where they can get help and participate in activities such as day care, language courses, sewing classes, yoga or bingo. In De Meeuw we create the possibility of not-so-obvious encounters. Just running into each other and greeting the other subconsciously does a lot of good. Seeing and being seen helps eliminate prejudice and promotes acceptance."
