Lotmate group for loved ones such as family and friends of people with addiction or psychiatric problems.
It can be very complicated if your partner, child or parent is addicted or has psychiatric problems. You worry and want to help the other person. Sometimes you feel like you are on your own. How do you hold your own in this difficult situation? That's what the peer group for loved ones is for.
It can be supportive to share your story with fellow sufferers. Share your experiences and stories and hear how others in similar situations cope. Find recognition. You may develop a strategy for dealing with your situation that is better for you. Chances are it will make you feel stronger and more resilient.
We offer a safe environment in a group setting. During the meetings there is recognition of your experiences and you will learn from and with each other.

Our approach
Our approach is customized and demand-driven. During the meetings there is plenty of room to share experiences. Themes such as shame, guilt, taking space and setting boundaries will be discussed. Together we explore what is at the forefront of our minds at that moment. In a safe environment and using different forms (such as role plays and body-oriented work) we will work on this.
