Mission
We are there for people in Amsterdam and surrounding areas who are struggling and have nowhere else to turn. We mobilize the strength in society to support them to participate in society as independently as possible.

Vision
Every person deserves a dignified existence. Poverty, addiction, psychiatric problems or homelessness do not make a person any less human. We believe in a city where there is room for everyone, on dry land instead of between shore and ship. A city in which we are involved in each other's lives and in which we strengthen each other. People among each other.

The Regenboog Groep consists of a large group of people in departments, team and programs. How we keep that structured is shown in our organizational chart.

Solidary & Caring, Resourceful & Optimistic, Fearless & Outspoken

We help anyone who does not have a helper. The efforts of our volunteers show the power of personal commitment to others. Our approach has been inventive with user spaces for addicts, as well as care for stranded Europeans, the start of NoiZ (night shelter In self-management) and, for example, Onder de Pannen. And we don't patronize, but encourage people to take charge themselves (again).

The city is constantly changing and with it the needs of people who cannot make it (alone). We are always initiating new projects that respond to that need. To measure the effect of our engaged way of working, we use a range of measuring instruments and moments. We use the data in justifications to our funders, in evaluation interviews with our clients and volunteers and to adjust our policy.

De Regenboog Groep operates under a Supervisory Board model and is managed on a day-to-day basis by a one-man Board of Directors (BoD), which also forms the management board and is ultimately responsible for the organization's overall operations.

People make De Regenboog Groep, as (cooperating) visitors, volunteers and (paid) employees. Their voices are heard, on the shop floor, but also in official representation through councils.

We have been working with organizations in other European countries for more than 15 years.

Our bylaws state what rules we have and how we operate. It also states that we are a foundation and what the board should look like.
