SHORT-term OPPORTUNITY; two weeks to catch your breath.
From April 1 to August 1, 2026, De Regenboog Groep runs Short-term Shelter (KDO). KDO is a night shelter where homeless Amsterdam residents can sleep for a maximum of 2 weeks. Those two weeks are meant so you can get some rest, you can look for another place or care. Or so you can look for work or housing of your own.

- For people from the LHBTIQ+ community, there is the Princehof, Oudezijds Voorburgwal 165

Information for referrers
.We would ask that you pay attention to a complete application when applying. Only with all required information can we quickly assess and place. The required information is listed in the script.
Important to know:
- The KDO is fully occupied right from the start.
- If the KDO is full, we will place new applications on the waiting list. If there are 20 people on the waiting list, there is a sign-up stop until the following Wednesday.
- Referrers of clients on the waiting list can call daily to inquire if there is space, or wait for their client's placement on outflow/entry Thursday.
- Is there no waiting list at registration? If so, we will place your client immediately.
