About De Regenboog Groep
De Regenboog Groep empowers Amsterdammers in vulnerable situations. We do this together with them and with hundreds of volunteers. Our projects and programs revolve around connection, empowerment, recovery, and self-direction.
As an Informal Care Coordinator, you’ll contribute to our mission by mentoring and training volunteers and participants in our buddy program.
For this position, we are looking for a coordinator who will specifically support us in working with the financially vulnerable population. This means you will primarily (but not exclusively) work with people from this demographic, have an affinity for them, and be somewhat familiar with Amsterdam’s social services network.
What will you be doing?
- In this role, you’ll work to reduce financial vulnerability and strengthen the network of Amsterdammers, together with colleagues, volunteers, and participants. You’ll:
- Conduct intake and evaluation interviews with volunteers and participants in the buddy program
- Match participants with volunteers and guide their buddy program.
- Handle administrative reporting
- Collaborate with network partners such as healthcare institutions, neighborhood initiatives, and the municipality
- Conduct training sessions and peer support sessions, and give presentations and informational sessions
What do you bring to the table?
Here’s what’s important to us:
- A relevant degree at the higher professional education (HBO) level, or comparable work experience.
- An affinity for our target group(s) and social issues.
- Experience in supervising volunteers
- Willingness to work occasionally in the evenings
- You can work independently but also actively seek collaboration.
- You show genuine care, work on the basis of equality, and stand alongside people.
- You can work in an enterprising, decisive, and results-oriented manner

- A gross salary of at least €3,560 and at most €4,176 (FWG50) based on a 36-hour workweek
- Employment terms in accordance with the GGZ collective bargaining agreement
- In addition to 8.33% vacation pay, an end-of-year bonus of 8.33%
- Travel allowance and opportunities for professional development.
- A 7-month contract with the possibility of extension or permanent employment.
