De Regenboog Groep supports Amsterdam residents in vulnerable situations. We do this together with them, with organizations, the city government, businesses, and hundreds of volunteers. Our projects and programs focus on connection, empowerment, recovery, and self-determination.

Onder de Pannen Nationwide

Onder de Pannen Nationwide is a project developed by De Regenboog Groep in Amsterdam to prevent people who are economically homeless from becoming homeless. The project is being rolled out nationwide using a social franchise model.

Through the “Onder de Pannen” project, we connect—via hospita hosting—people who have become homeless due to, for example, a divorce or loss of income, with local residents who have a spare room. We remove barriers to hospita hosting at various levels to encourage as many landlords as possible to rent out a room.

“Onder de Pannen Landelijk” supports other municipalities and their local providers so they can begin offering “Onder de Pannen” in their own regions. By transferring knowledge and sharing experiences, we are building a nationwide “Onder de Pannen” network dedicated to reducing homelessness.

What will you be doing?

  • You will assist municipalities with the implementation of the “Onder de Pannen” project.
  • You will advise municipalities and implementing partners on hospita hosting, temporary housing, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • You will identify trends and translate them into practical advice, work processes, and documentation.
  • You will serve as a substantive sparring partner for municipalities, housing authorities, and other collaborative partners.
  • You will build sustainable collaborative relationships and help further develop the national network.
  • You organize and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, training sessions, and networking activities.
  • You represent Onder de Pannen/Tijdelijk Wonen at national and regional meetings.
  • You develop and update project documentation, work processes, and communication materials.
  • You prepare proposals, support the acquisition of new municipalities, and monitor project progress.
  • You will handle project administration, monitoring, and evaluations.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have a completed higher professional education (HBO) degree.
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in an advisory or project-based role within the social sector, a housing authority, or a commercial organization.
  • You have an affinity for the target group of economically homeless people and want to help increase their housing opportunities.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to housing and the social sector is a plus; otherwise, you’ll quickly familiarize yourself with them.
  • You’re analytical and know how to translate complex issues and developments into clear, practical solutions and recommendations.
  • You easily switch between strategic thinking and practical implementation.
  • You are a strong communicator who easily builds lasting collaborative relationships with municipalities and other partners.
  • You work in a structured manner, maintain a broad perspective, have an eye for detail, and know how to effectively connect people, processes, and interests.
  • You communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, and have an excellent command of Dutch.

What do we offer you?

  • A meaningful role in a caring and committed organization
  • A dynamic work environment that encourages resourcefulness and initiative
  • A team where you can learn and where there’s room to bring out the best in yourself, even through trial and error
  • A gross salary of at least €4,000 and at most €5,294 (FWG 55) based on a 36-hour workweek
  • A one-year contract with the possibility of renewal
  • Terms of employment in accordance with the GGZ collective bargaining agreement
  • In addition to 8.33% vacation pay, an end-of-year bonus of 8.33%
  • Ample opportunities for professional development.
