Delen
Are you looking for a versatile job in the hospitality industry? And would you like to work for an organization where you can truly make a difference? Then this is the job for you. We’re looking for a service-oriented, hands-on work supervisor for 32 hours per week at Buurtboerderij Centraal.
This is a temporary replacement position from September 1, 2026, to March 1, 2026.
Buurtboerderij Centraal is a social hospitality company located at the Marineterrein in Amsterdam: a vibrant hub of education, innovation, and hospitality. On November 1, we’ll be moving back to the Buurtboerderij in Westerpark, which is reopening its doors two years after the fire.
For us, hospitality is about more than just good food and drinks. Our lunch café is a gathering place where local residents, Marineterrein employees, and other Amsterdammers feel welcome. We serve coffee, tea, homemade treats, and lunch dishes, and in the afternoons and evenings, we provide catering for events on the grounds or in our café.
As a social enterprise, we offer people who face barriers to the job market the opportunity to gain work experience and develop their skills. Together with paid colleagues, volunteers, and participants, you’ll ensure a warm welcome, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. In this way, you contribute every day to an inclusive society where everyone can participate.
In your role as a work supervisor, you’re responsible for the day-to-day operations of our food service. You support and guide volunteers and participants so they can perform their duties as effectively as possible. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and working together, and you serve as a role model for the entire team. You also have plenty of ideas for helping the Buurtboerderij continue to grow as a vibrant, green, and community-building space at the Marineterrein.
Your responsibilities will also include
ⱱ Helping to run our food and beverage operations smoothly
ⱱ Welcoming guests warmly and providing them with food and drinks
ⱱ Guiding and coaching participants in their personal and professional development
ⱱ Translating learning objectives into tailored activities
ⱱ Supporting participants and volunteers in their daily tasks
ⱱ Contributing ideas for programming activities in and around the Buurtboerderij, such as community meals, tastings, and small summer events.
ⱱ Helping—where necessary—with the preparation, organization, and execution of these activities
What do you bring to the table?
Here’s what’s important to us:
ⱱ You have experience in the hospitality industry and are a hands-on person
ⱱ You enjoy working with volunteers and people who are distanced from the
job market
ⱱ You’re a team player
ⱱ You’re patient, enthusiastic, and empathetic
ⱱ You’re also available in the evenings and on weekends
ⱱ You’re creative and know how to turn ideas into activities
ⱱ You have ideas on how the Buurtboerderij can build even stronger connections with local residents and business owners
ⱱ You’re good at identifying what guests and colleagues need
ⱱ You contribute to a pleasant, safe, and inclusive work environment.
We offer you
ⱱ A great workplace in Amsterdam
ⱱ Plenty of freedom to shape the role as you see fit
ⱱ Opportunities for professional and personal development
ⱱ A gross salary of at least €3,180 and at most €4,273 (FWG 45) based on a 36-hour workweek, with employment terms in accordance with the GGZ collective bargaining agreement
ⱱ The opportunity to contribute to a pleasant and educational work environment for people who are distanced from the labor market
