De Regenboog Groep
De Regenboog Groep empowers Amsterdam residents in vulnerable situations. We do this together with them and with hundreds of volunteers. Our projects and programs focus on connection, empowerment, recovery, and self-determination.
At De Regenboog Groep, we’re working toward a city where there’s a place for everyone. Different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives enrich our work, which is why we’re consciously and actively building a diverse team and an inclusive organization.
What will you be doing?
As a Fundraiser, you’ll be able to translate De Regenboog Groep’s objectives and activities into a successful fundraising strategy. You’ll ensure clarity and coherence within this strategy and make sure that communication with all stakeholders—including those who may be interested in supporting us—is consistent. You’ll keep stakeholders informed about the progress of the projects they support or have proposed. You have a way with words and know better than anyone what makes a good funding proposal.
What will you be doing?
- You will develop tailored project proposals for all De Regenboog Groep initiatives addressing social issues in Amsterdam;
- You will research the needs of funds and foundations, identify how your proposals align with their objectives, and then submit these project proposals;
- You will maintain personal contact with funds, foundations, and major donors and ensure excellent relationship management. You will serve as the public face of the organization;
- You ensure reliable, accurate, and timely communication and reporting on approved project proposals;
- Together with the communications department, you ensure consistent communication, while making sure the focus remains on impact;
- You will provide functional leadership to the team (two colleagues) and report to the director/executive. In addition, you will work closely with the communications department.
What do you bring to the table?
Here’s what’s important to us:
- You have a higher professional education (HBO) and/or academic level of work and thinking
- You have at least 2 years of experience in fundraising from a nonprofit organization, specifically with foundations and endowment funds
- You are an excellent project manager and, as such, able to maintain an overview in a complex environment with many different projects and target audiences
- You’re structured but not rigid; you’re flexible and can adapt quickly
- You think in terms of opportunities and solutions, and you have an entrepreneurial mindset
- You have a good sense of humor
- Your Dutch is strong, both spoken and written
- You stand up for what’s necessary and aren’t afraid to speak your mind
- You feel comfortable thinking outside the box and approach your work with resourcefulness and conviction
- You are sensitive to differences in background and culture and know how to handle them with care and respect.
What do we offer you?
- A meaningful role in a caring and committed organization
- A dynamic work environment that encourages resourcefulness and initiative
- A team where you can learn and where there’s room to bring out the best in yourself, even through trial and error
- A gross salary of at least €4,000 and at most €5,294 (FWG 55) based on a 36-hour workweek
- A one-year contract with the possibility of renewal
- Terms of employment in accordance with the GGZ collective bargaining agreement
