In Amoc Zuid, one of De Regenboog Groep's walk-in centres, we receive around two thousand non-Dutch EU citizens each year. These people end up on the streets for various reasons: psychiatric vulnerability, drug addiction, labor migration gone wrong or other situations can lead to these people ending up on the streets.
We offer stranded EU migrants in Amsterdam who are homeless social work, a place to shower, clean clothes and food. The first steps to getting life back on track.
For walk-in centre Amoc Zuid we are looking for a day coordinator for 16-28 hours per week.
As day-coordinator you are responsible for the daily running of the walk-in centre. You know how to create a pleasant atmosphere in the walk-in centre and take the initiative when it comes to development-oriented work and activation. Together with the head of the location you look at how we can improve our service. In all this you think solution-oriented and outside the box.
Your duties will further include
.✓ Prepare breakfast and lunch and perform housekeeping duties
✓ Implementing activities arising from our policies
✓ Registering visitors and performing administrative work
✓ Monitoring compliance with house and safety rules
✓ Supervising volunteers and interns
✓ Representing De Regenboog in contact with local residents
.We work a rotating schedule, seven days a week.
What will you bring?
This is important to us:
✓ Have at least a completed mbo education and have two years of work experience
✓ Are familiar with addiction and psychiatry
✓ Can work well as part of a team and have a positive attitude
✓ Stress-resistant, flexible, communicatively strong and decisive
✓ Master the English language and speak Hungarian/Romanian or Polish.
If you do not speak any of these languages but another Eastern European language, you can also apply. Our preference is still for someone who speaks Hungarian, Romanian or Polish; Dutch is a plus
