32 uur per week
€€ 2.950 tot € 4.579 per maand (FWG 50)

De Regenboog Groep is committed to helping homeless people, people with addictions and people with psychiatric problems, both from the Netherlands and abroad. Our Assistance Department helps these people achieve a stable situation and find a new perspective in Amsterdam, elsewhere in the Netherlands or abroad. Our work is systematic and person-oriented: the question behind the (aid) question is central. We go the extra mile to really make a difference and do whatever it takes to help someone move on.

Our outreach team Dobre020 focuses specifically on outdoor sleepers from the EU. We seek out homeless EU citizens in the center of Amsterdam or the outlying areas, and offer social assistance on the spot. The aim is to break the cycle of homelessness by finding suitable work, living or shelter opportunities at home and abroad.

To strengthen this team, we are looking for a:

Social Worker for 32 hours per week, effective June 1, 2026.

As a social worker:

  • You actively approach potential clients and motivate them to take advantage of the offerings of social work and the walk-in centres;
  • Work systematically, drawing up support plans and focusing on restoring perspective in the Netherlands or in the country of origin;
  • You are approachable for and maintain contact with other parties who play a role around our target group, such as Jellinek and the GGD; in addition, you build a network at home and abroad to support the assistance to our clients;
  • Together with the street workers, you are the point of contact for local residents and other stakeholders with questions and wishes regarding this project and the clients;
  • You are flexible in time and place (office/street);
  • Travels abroad may be part of the supervision;
  • You keep records in the digital client file;
  • You actively contribute to the weekly case management/work meetings;
  • Do you receive direction from and are accountable to De Regenboog Groep's program coordinator of Auxiliary Services;

What will you bring?

This is important to us:

  • You have a relevant, completed college education (or a similar education abroad);
  • You are fluent in Bulgarian and/or Romanian and also speak Dutch and/or English; knowledge of the healthcare system in another European country is a plus;
  • You have an open attitude and are socially strong, motivating, connecting and inventive;
  • You see challenges and opportunities in dealing with people with complex problems;
  • You are independent and do not feel constrained by beaten paths and fixed structures;
  • You are willing to occasionally work weekends or outside office hours;
  • You are confident and have life experience;

What do we offer you?

  • A meaningful position in a caring and committed organization.
  • A dynamic work environment where there is room for resourcefulness and your own initiative.
  • A gross salary of minimum €3,456 and maximum €4,579 (FWG50) based on 36 hours
  • Conditions of employment in accordance with the GGZ collective agreement
