The housing market in Amsterdam is strained, making it incredibly difficult to find affordable housing. This becomes even more difficult if you lose your home due to circumstances such as divorce or job loss. As a result, people become "economically homeless. In the various districts of the city, we help them find a home. In doing so, we also assist young adults and vulnerable economically homeless people who are staying in temporary housing.
We are looking for an incisive and experienced colleague who loves a challenge. You will be a point of contact for economically homeless people seeking support and assist and guide them to appropriate housing. You will delve into personal situations and commit to making a difference for these fellow city residents.
Your duties will include the
.ⱱ Supervising and coaching economically homeless people and supporting them in practical matters
.ⱱ Directing the care of your clients and coordinating with network partners
.ⱱ Taking care of reporting in digital files
.ⱱ Building and maintaining a network so that you are able to work with your client to determine the fastest route to housing
This job suits you if you
ⱱ Possesses a completed college education
.ⱱ Have experience in counseling and have knowledge and affinity for economically homeless people
.ⱱ Are able to translate learning experiences into new working methods which you then also share with colleagues
.ⱱ Know how to translate daily practice into policy and vice versa
.ⱱ Mastering the Dutch language both verbally and in writing and preferably speaking Arabic
.ⱱ Are entrepreneurial, enthusiastic and stress-resistant
