De Regenboog Groep tackles social problems in the city and offers people perspective (again). Team Work & Activation of De Regenboog Groep helps people who would like to work (again) but have difficulty finding a place in the regular labor market. We focus on participation, reintegration, training and developing work skills. People can choose from various workplaces at different social firms such as The Buurtboerderij and work companies like The Bookbindery, bicycle repair shop Streetwise, laundromat Colors or sewing studio Zigzag.

Sewing studio ZigZag is located on Derde Schinkelstraat, in a lively building that houses several of De Regenboog Groep's work companies. At sewing studio ZigZag, various products made from recycled fabrics are designed, produced and sold. ZigZag offers craft and creative work and the opportunity, with tailored support, to develop work-related skills.

For sewing studio ZigZag, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and knowledgeable work supervisor, who will guide participants in achieving their goals and coordinate daily operations. Together with your immediate colleague you will be responsible for the ins and outs of the sewing workshop. We are looking for a work supervisor for 16-24 hours.

Requested Profile

You are a positive-minded and motivating work supervisor who has experience working with people for whom regular work does not fit (temporarily). You are patient, connect with the participants' experiences and create a pleasant working atmosphere. You enjoy offering "customized" guidance, with an eye for people's strengths, opportunities and skills. You can translate learning goals into practical activities.

In addition to your love of guiding people and transferring skills, you have an entrepreneurial and creative attitude. You enjoy coming up with new concepts, collaborating with colleagues and external parties, and you are organizationally strong.

What will you bring?

  • A completed vocational training

  • Experience and affinity with people for whom regular work (temporarily) does not fit
  • Mastery of sewing techniques, ability to operate various sewing machines and you can transfer these skills well
  • Antrepreneurial attitude, flexible attitude, easy to communicate and collaborate
  • Well organized and humorous
