At De Regenboog Groep, we want to focus even more on prevention, sustainable employability, and preventing absenteeism in the coming years. Our absenteeism rates are below the averages for the Netherlands and the healthcare sector. We’d like to maintain this trend, which is why we plan to focus on well-being and job satisfaction in the near future. Due to a retirement, we are looking for a pair of new occupational physicians starting in January 2027.

We are seeking a pair of independent occupational physicians who, in addition to medical expertise, also have an eye for the individual, their work, and the context in which they work and live. Within our organization, we see issues related to, for example, work pressure, mental and physical strain, setting boundaries, recovery and energy levels, different life stages, and balancing work and personal life. Through various initiatives, we aim to identify these issues earlier, make them open for discussion, and, where possible, help prevent absenteeism.

We also see an important role for our occupational physicians in this regard—in contributing ideas about healthy and sustainable work practices and about what employees and the organization can do to strengthen employability.

You will work based on your own professional and medical responsibility. The organizational aspects, such as scheduling and discussing case studies, are handled by HR in collaboration with managers. We have our own locations available for consultation hours.

We are specifically looking for two occupational physicians who will work as a team.

We believe it is important that colleagues can relate to their occupational physician and that we can offer continuity, diversity, and quality. You will work based on your own expertise and professional responsibility, but you will be able to consult with the other occupational physician when needed.

In this role, you will bring:

  • a BIG registration and you are registered in the RGS registry;
  • the ability to look beyond medical symptoms and consider the broader context of work and life;
  • an affinity for prevention, sustainable employability, and psychosocial issues;
  • the ability to work autonomously and independently, while collaborating and coordinating as needed;
  • an approachable and respectful manner of communicating with employees, managers, and HR;
  • a curious mindset and the motivation to contribute ideas on how we can further strengthen health and employability within our organization.

We offer a meaningful collaboration within a social organization with a wide diversity of employees, roles, and backgrounds. You will contribute to making the city of Amsterdam a more welcoming place. We provide room for professional autonomy, initiative, and a broad interpretation of the role. We will determine the assignment, scope, duration, and hourly rate in consultation with you.
