About De Regenboog Groep

De Regenboog Groep strengthens Amsterdammers in a vulnerable position. We do this together with them and with hundreds of volunteers. Our projects and programs revolve around meeting, activation, recovery and self-direction.

As Kwartiermaker Huizen van de Wijk you will contribute to our mission by ensuring that people with mental vulnerability feel welcome in regular neighborhood facilities. You will support visitors, volunteers and professionals, and help make activities and meeting places more accessible.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will work in several Houses of the Neighborhood in Amsterdam. There you will be an accessible point of contact for visitors, volunteers and professionals with questions about complex behavior, GGZ-friendly offerings and a welcoming atmosphere.

You work from equality, respect and attention. In doing so, you assume the own autonomy and strength of visitors. You are part of a small team of quartermasters who fulfill the same role at other locations. Together you will exchange experiences, signals and practical tips.

You:

  • staff several Houses of the Neighborhood in the city, connecting you for one day per location.
  • supports and coaches staff and volunteers in the Houses of Neighborhood;
  • advises staff and coordinators on accessibility, atmosphere management and dealing with complex behavior;
  • organizes and supervises low-threshold drop-in activities that meet the needs of visitors;
  • helps develop new activities, preferably within the regular offerings of the Houses of the Neighborhood;
  • welcomes and guides visitors to participate in activities;
  • maintains contact with chain partners, neighborhood organizations and colleagues within De Regenboog Groep;
  • Provides registration of results and input for accountability.

What will you bring?

This is what we think is important:

  • You work and think at college level, for example through education or similar work experience.
  • You have experience with or affinity for people with mental illness and/or other target groups of De Regenboog Groep.
  • You can create a safe, welcoming atmosphere and keep an overview when there is a lot going on at once.
  • You can deal with different forms of behavior, including when behavior becomes complex or tense.
  • You easily establish contact with visitors, volunteers, colleagues and cooperation partners.
  • You work independently, but also actively seek cooperation.
  • You think in possibilities and can respond flexibly to what a situation or visitor needs.
  • You write and communicate clearly, for example in registration, transfer and coordination with partners.

What do we offer you?

  • A meaningful position in which you will directly contribute to accessible meeting places for Amsterdam residents.

  • Gross salary of minimum €3,456 and maximum €4,579 per month, FWG 50, based on 36 hours.
  • Conditions of employment in accordance with the GGZ collective agreement.
  • In addition to 8.33% vacation pay, you will receive a year-end bonus of 8.33%.
  • Travel allowance and development opportunities.
  • A contract for 1 year with the prospect of extension / permanent employment.
