Economically homeless
There is increasing talk of a group of people who are homeless, unable to claim social services and primarily have a housing problem. This group is also called Economically Homeless, people who have become homeless after job loss or divorce. People who are already helped with a small amount of support and (temporary) housing.
What do we do for economically homeless people?
We try to prevent homelessness and its consequences by providing temporary housing and counseling. We have a lot of experience in supporting the group of economically homeless people. We can't do much about the housing crisis, but with our Temporary Housing projects and our social work we can make life a little more pleasant and in the meantime look for a structural solution together. And if we don't succeed in finding housing in Amsterdam, then maybe somewhere else.
.Urban Team Economic Homelessness
Our social workers are available in various city districts for people who are economically homeless. They help address problems (for example, with benefits or letter addresses), assist you in contacting the right agencies and tell you about important schemes. They know which social workers you can turn to. With small steps, they help someone on their way to a home.

Temporary Living
In addition, De Regenboog Groep has several temporary housing projects. All these housing projects are for up to the duration of 1 year, in many cases you will live with a roommate, and at the same time you will receive guidance in finding a permanent solution. The goal is to get residential peace of mind and from here to look for a follow-up solution. We do this in Amsterdam and Amstelland (Amstelveen, Ouderamstel, Aalsmeer, Diemen and Uithoorn).
