Our walk-in centres offer homeless people, for a short while, peace in their often hectic existence. Visitors can stop by for a healthy meal, a shower, clean clothes and social work. There is also opportunity for day care and relaxation.
There is also a user room. Using outside on the street causes stress, making users' health a lower priority. We provide users with a safe, hygienic and stress-free environment. This is better for the user and for the neighborhood. For our mobile location in the Oosterpark 'De Dwaalgast', we are looking for a day-coordinator (m/f/x) who stands firmly in the shoes.
Initially for 3 months, starting November 1. There is possibility of extension.
The day coordinator is responsible for the daily operations and goings on at the location. Setting a pleasant atmosphere is very important. Besides doing the daily chores in and around the mobile open house, you are an important contact for our visitors and you take the initiative when it comes to development-oriented work and activation. Together with your location head and the team you look at how we can improve our services.
Your duties will include
.✓ creating and maintaining a welcoming and safe atmosphere for our visitors
✓ supervising interns and volunteers
✓ performing minor administrative tasks
✓ signaling changes in the work field
✓ implementing policy changes and performing tasks arising from policy
This job suits you if you
✓ has an MBO+ or HBO working and thinking level
✓ are stress-resistant, flexible, communicatively strong and decisive
✓ willing to work weekends and evening hours as well
✓ are familiar with addiction and psychiatry
✓ master the Dutch language both verbally and in writing, speaking a second foreign language is and advantage (Arabic, Spanish, Polish).
✓ are entrepreneurial, enthusiastic and stress-resistant
