More than 1,300 volunteers annually commit themselves through De Regenboog for a fellow city-dweller. As a buddy they help people with - a history of - various problems and often without a supportive environment, to get their lives on track. We are immediately looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our team.
As a Child and Youth Coordinator, you will pair citywide young volunteers with children and youth who are dealing with a vulnerable home situation and/or suffering from psychiatric symptoms. As executive coordinator you are responsible for the contact with and guidance of volunteers and the intake and matching interviews with participants. During the process you will, if necessary, keep in touch with the social services involved. In addition, you are responsible for the guidance of (new) volunteers, training and recruitment can be part of this.
.You can easily move in and among the target group of 9 to 27 years old and are familiar with the problems that can occur in this group. The social map of Amsterdam has no secrets for you in this area and you can refer to professional help where needed.
You will be able to work in the field of social work.

What are you going to do?
✓ To conduct intakes and evaluation interviews with participants (and parents/guardians)
✓ Intaking, supervising and coaching young volunteers (18-32 years old)
✓ Matching participants and volunteers and supervising these buddy projects
✓ Providing administrative reporting
✓ Maintaining our network of formal and informal partners
✓ Supervising trainees and providing intervisions
✓ Organizing a monthly evening group activity (Hangout)
✓ Contribute to the development of team Child & Youth
What will you bring?
✓ A college level of work and thinking
✓ Experience supervising volunteers
✓ Experience with De Regenboog Groep's target groups, especially children, adolescents and parents/caregivers.
✓ Entrepreneurial, decisive and results-oriented
✓ Minimally good command of Dutch and English (additional languages a plus)
✓ love of the city and enjoyment of cycling
