The team of ABC (Amsterdams Buurvrouwen Contact), part of Informal Care, is looking for an enthusiastic new colleague as of March.
At Informal Care we bring Amsterdammers in contact with each other through buddy projects. Within ABC we focus specifically on bringing female participants and female volunteers together to practice the Dutch language.
As part of Informele Zorg we are looking for a new colleague.
You ensure that these teaching couples get the right support and resources to achieve their language goals. As a fixed point of contact, you guide them throughout the process. You answer questions, actively think about solutions and support volunteers with the challenges they encounter.
You will organize introductory meetings, advise on appropriate teaching materials, monitor progress and encourage development. You will also contribute to strengthening the volunteer network by organizing intervision, training and other forms of support. You also take initiative to appreciate and motivate volunteers. Together with your team you continuously work on the further development of the offer and the network and you monitor the quality of the buddy contact of De Regenboog.
Your duties include
✓ Intake, supervision and coaching of volunteers
.✓ Conducting intakes with participants and evaluation interviews with lesson pairs. You will refer to other language offerings or outside activities as needed. We work citywide where we mostly travel by bicycle.

✓ Managing our regular volunteer intakers and volunteer coordinators in the district and sparring with them about the report they report to you about their participants or lesson pairs.
✓ Matching participants and volunteers
.✓ Collaborating across projects and sharing knowledge and expertise
.✓ Recording and reporting trajectories in our database
.✓ Contributing to the development of ABC Department and the Informal Care Department
.✓ Liaise and collaborate with formal and informal partners
.
This position suits you if you
✓ have a college level of work and thought, preferably in the social work field
✓ Have experience with De Regenboog Groep's target groups, especially with non-native newcomers
✓ Have experience coaching individuals and/or groups
.✓ Experience coaching, supervising and managing volunteers is a plus
.✓ Have experience coordinating multiple tasks side-by-side
✓ Can work independently and as part of a team
.✓ Have good communication skills and written expression skills in Dutch. Speaking additional languages is a plus. (Someone who speaks Turkish, Tigrinya, Urdu or Farsi would be a great addition to our team)

✓ Command of time management
.✓ Knowledge of the Integration Act is a plus
.✓ Knowledge of the social map
.✓ Preferably available on Tuesdays and Thursdays
