From April 1 to July 31, De Regenboog Groep will provide Short-term Reception (KDO) on Transformatorweg 6 This is care for up to two weeks, for fellow city residents who really can't be on the streets for a while, or for whom a better solution is within reach. We hope for an extension until December 1, but that is up to the new alderman. Our guests can come to us for a meal, a hot shower and a nice place to sleep. If we see opportunities to improve the situation, of course we seize them with both hands.
We find it important that the KDO is a safe and cozy place where people feel welcome. For the morning, afternoon and evening shifts we are looking for people who can improvise and have a strong personality.
As an employee KDO, you provide support in the daily operations. You answer questions, make sure the location stays clean and tidy and that everything runs smoothly. Together with your colleagues and the volunteers you work to create a good atmosphere and make the shelter a place where people like to come.
Your duties will further include
✓ having conversations with visitors about what is needed to get their lives back on track;
✓ supervising volunteers;
✓ collaborating with your social work colleagues to ensure that appropriate assistance is provided;
✓ registering visitors and performing administrative duties;
✓ monitoring compliance with house and safety rules;
✓ preparing dinner and breakfast and performing housekeeping duties;
✓ representing De Regenboog in contact with externals.
This job suits you if you
✓ have a mbo+ or hbo working and thinking level;
✓ are familiar with addiction and psychiatry;
✓ do not depend on beaten pathways, but love to think for yourself;
✓ are stress-resistant, communicatively strong, resourceful and decisive;
✓ speak at least one other language besides Dutch;
✓ are available from April 1 and are willing to work outside office hours in an irregular schedule;
Experience in healthcare earns bonus points!
